High Blood pressure awareness is a fight i must fight, because on November 15, 1998, i passed out in my bathtub with a blood Pressure of  over 250. At 64yo, i am now on the front line in the fight against High Blood Pressure, and High Blood Sugar.

64 Today.

Well today is my birthday, i have made it to 64. from November 98, Thru June 09, life was tough for me. Since June 09, thru December 14, 2010, life is now alot better.

My gift to myself this morning was 500 jumping jacks, and 50 pushups.

To all of you who have health problems, i love all of you, and i am fighting everyday for Blood Pressure Awareness

The Holiday Season.

 Tis the Holiday Season, and eating is a big part of the season. Planning is a part of everything we do. With my having High Blood Pressure, i have got to plan to eat, or not to eat. For 6 days a week i am a vegetarian, one day a week i eat what i want. Thanksgiving was my day off,  so will my Birthday, and Christmas will be a day off also, However 7 days a week i do 400 jumping jacks, 30 pushups, and 30 situps.

Eating to live

It took me 63 years to learn the difference between Eating to live and living to eat. As  the saying go you are what you eat For a lifetime i always eat food that was harmful to my health. Well now i know its not how much you eat, its what you eat. From 1965 thru June,09, i was always dieting and Exerciseing, I would lose a few pounds, then gain them back and more. After June 09, when at last i got control of my health, the weight started to fall off. Now i have the will, and the no how to keep the weight off and my Blood Pressure down. Stress Control

Stress control will lower your Blood Pressure. I control my stress thru breathing. When i finish my morning exercise, i lay my head back and count to 20, i repeat this for 30min. At night i repeat the samething.

Walk in my shoes

Until you have passed out Head over in your bathtub, with Blood Pressure over 250,it would be hard to walk in my shoes. By all rights i should have died  that November day, i was way pass stroke stages. Well on November 15th, 12 years will have passed. The next 7 days i will be looking back on that fretful day

Blood Pressure over 250

As i have said in past post when i was diagnose with High Blood Pressure in the fall of 1997 i knew nothing about Blood Pressure, so i just kept on over eating and consuming way to much alcohol. So on November 15, 1998  i passed out in my bathtub with a Blood Pressure of over 250. I wrote a  short story in the spring of 2010, explaining how a  lifetime of bad eating and 33 years of alcohol abuse brought me to that fretful day.
