We as americans consume 2.3 pounds of suger a week. Sugar is found in everything we eat.
One of Sugars major drawbacks is that it raises the insulin level, which inhibits the release of growth Harmones which inturn depresses the imune sytem. And influx of sugar into the blood stream upsets the bodys blood sugar balance. Insulin promotes the storage of Fat, so that when you eat sweets, high in sugar, you are making way for rapid weight gain.
